Bijou (Equal Parts)

Harry Johnson's 1900 equal-parts trio — gin, sweet vermouth, and green Chartreuse in perfect thirds — a jewel-like (bijou = jewel) stirred drink of striking green-golden color and layered herbal complexity.

Steps

  1. 1.Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass.
  2. 2.Fill with ice and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well-chilled.
  3. 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
