Tuxedo No. 2
A martini variation from Harry Craddock's 1930 Savoy Cocktail Book adding maraschino, orange bitters, and a dash of absinthe to equal parts gin and dry vermouth. More floral and complex than a classic dry martini.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ ozgin
- 1 ½ ozdry vermouth
- ¼ ozmaraschino liqueur
- 2orange bitters
- 1absinthe
- garnishlemon twist and/or Luxardo cherry
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass.
- 2.Fill with ice and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well-chilled.
- 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
