Brandy Crusta
Joseph Santini's 1850s New Orleans ancestor of the Sidecar, with a sugared rim and long lemon peel twist wrapping a cognac sour lifted by maraschino and orange liqueur.
Ingredients
- 2 ozcognac
- ¼ ozmaraschino liqueur
- ¼ ozorange liqueur
- ½ ozlemon juice
- ¼ ozsimple syrup
- 2Angostura bitters
- garnishsugar rim and/or lemon peel
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
- 2.Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.
- 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
