A bartender's shift drink of rye, lemon, and Fernet-Branca sweetened just enough to tame the amaro, pouring inky, minty-bitter, and bracingly herbal.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ ozrye whiskey
- ¾ ozlemon juice
- ½ ozFernet-Branca
- ½ ozsimple syrup
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
- 2.Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.
- 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
