Thistle

A Scottish Rob Roy variant from the Savoy Cocktail Book, named for Scotland's national flower. Equal parts Scotch and sweet vermouth with Peychaud's bitters in place of the usual Angostura, lending a more aromatic, anise-tinged finish.

  1. 1.Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass.
  2. 2.Fill with ice and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well-chilled.
  3. 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
