Harry Yee's 1957 Waikiki creation — born to showcase Bols blue curaçao — paints its glass an impossible ocean blue and delivers a bright, tropical punch of pineapple and citrus that made tiki culture even more colorful.
Ingredients
- ¾ ozlight rum
- ¾ ozvodka
- ½ ozblue curaçao
- 3 ozpineapple juice
- ½ ozlemon juice
- garnishpineapple wedge
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
- 2.Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.
- 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
