A rye Manhattan variation from Ted Saucier's 1951 Bottoms Up, replacing vermouth with Cointreau and using Peychaud's bitters for a New Orleans influence. Dry, orange-forward, and spirit-driven.
Ingredients
- 2 ozrye whiskey
- ½ ozorange liqueur
- 2Peychaud's bitters
- 1orange bitters
- garnishorange peel
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass.
- 2.Fill with ice and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well-chilled.
- 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
