A New Orleans counterpart to the Sazerac, stirring rye with sweet vermouth, Bénédictine, and an absinthe rinse, pouring layered, licorice-tinged, and richly Creole.

Steps

  1. 1.Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass.
  2. 2.Fill with ice and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well-chilled.
  3. 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
