Final Ward
A Last Word riff created by Phil Ward at Death & Co in New York in 2007, replacing the gin with rye whiskey and the lime with lemon. The switch makes the cocktail warmer and slightly sweeter, with rye's spice complementing the herbal Chartreuse.
Ingredients
- ¾ ozrye whiskey
- ¾ ozgreen Chartreuse
- ¾ ozmaraschino liqueur
- ¾ ozlemon juice
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
- 2.Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.
- 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
