A New Orleans brunch staple combining brandy, cream, and vanilla into a rich, frothy sipper. Descended from British punches of the 18th century, it became institutionalized at Brennan's restaurant in the French Quarter.
Ingredients
- 2 ozbrandy
- 2 ozcream
- ½ ozsimple syrup
- ¼ ozvanilla syrup
- garnishnutmeg
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
- 2.Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.
- 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
