A Prohibition-era Scotch cocktail combining dry vermouth, grenadine, absinthe, and orange bitters. Named after the WWI slang for a high-velocity shell that arrived and exploded simultaneously.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ ozScotch whisky
- ¾ ozdry vermouth
- ¼ ozgrenadine
- 2absinthe
- 2orange bitters
- garnishorange twist
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass.
- 2.Fill with ice and stir gently for about 30 seconds until well-chilled.
- 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
