Morning Glory Fizz
A 19th-century Scotch fizz laced with absinthe, shaken with lemon and egg white and lengthened with soda for a frothy, anise-tinged eye-opener once prescribed as a hangover cure.
Ingredients
- 2 ozScotch whisky
- 1 ozlemon juice
- ¾ ozsimple syrup
- 1egg white
- 1absinthe
- 2 ozsoda water
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker without ice.
- 2.Seal and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds to emulsify.
- 3.Add ice and shake again for another 10–15 seconds.
- 4.Strain into a chilled glass.
