A Victorian-era rum cocktail from Jerry Thomas's 1862 How to Mix Drinks, combining rum with raspberry, orange liqueur, and citrus. One of the first fruit-forward rum cocktails on record.
Ingredients
- 2 ozlight rum
- ½ ozraspberry syrup
- ½ ozorange liqueur
- ¾ ozlime juice
- ¼ ozlemon juice
- garnishpineapple wedge
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
- 2.Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.
- 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
