Rum Flip
A 19th-century dockside warmer whipping dark rum with egg yolk and sugar into a thick, molasses-rich sip crowned with freshly grated nutmeg.
Ingredients
- 2 ozdark rum
- ½ ozsimple syrup
- 1egg yolk
- garnishnutmeg
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker without ice.
- 2.Seal and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds to emulsify.
- 3.Add ice and shake again for another 10–15 seconds.
- 4.Strain into a chilled glass.
