Sherry Flip
A velvety Victorian nightcap in which nutty Amontillado sherry is shaken with whole egg and sugar, then dusted with nutmeg to finish rich, custardy, and gently fortified.
Ingredients
- 2 ozAmontillado sherry
- ½ ozsimple syrup
- 1egg yolk
- garnishnutmeg
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
- 2.Fill with ice and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds until well-chilled.
- 3.Strain into a chilled glass.
