A 19th-century nightcap built on whiskey, a whole egg, and sugar shaken to a custardy foam and dusted with nutmeg, drinking like a boozy, grown-up eggnog in a coupe.
Ingredients
- 2 ozwhiskey
- 1whole egg
- ½ ozsimple syrup
- garnishnutmeg
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker without ice.
- 2.Seal and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds to emulsify.
- 3.Add ice and shake again for another 10–15 seconds.
- 4.Strain into a chilled glass.
