A spicy take on the flip with rye whiskey shaken whole-egg with sugar and dusted with nutmeg, yielding a frothy, warming nightcap with more pepper-and-spice bite than a bourbon version.
Ingredients
- 2 ozrye whiskey
- 1whole egg
- ½ ozsimple syrup
- garnishnutmeg
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker without ice.
- 2.Seal and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds to emulsify.
- 3.Add ice and shake again for another 10–15 seconds.
- 4.Strain into a chilled glass.
