A light, frothy pre-Prohibition rum sour — named for a scandalous 1913 painting — that balances bright lime and sweet grenadine in a silky egg-white foam over a base of light rum.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ ozlight rum
- ¾ ozlime juice
- ½ ozgrenadine
- 1egg white
Steps
- 1.Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker without ice.
- 2.Seal and shake vigorously for 10–15 seconds to emulsify.
- 3.Add ice and shake again for another 10–15 seconds.
- 4.Strain into a chilled glass.
